    Hi all,

I am using Wyse Simple Imager v1.2.0A to reimage my wyse devices.
This has successfully worked for an S90 (thanks to thinkthin).

I am now trying to reimage a V50- I think I need to onfirm the correct i2d file to use.

I have downloaded from the Wyse website 5V50_6.3.1_21-128.

I donot recieve any log messages on the WSI console and the device shows:
    upload successful [4002](01)

    Then reboots.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

    Zofty

    Hi Zofty,

Is this on a isolated network? It almost sounds like some other PXE service is responding to the V50. The image is correct and the fact you do not see any activity in the console or the TFTP server means it is not starting the process.

Can you let me know how WSI is set up?

    Thanks,
    -TT

It is on an isolated network as per WSI 1.2.0 documentation.

I am using W2K3 DHCP server.

    I have tried using S50, V50 & V52 images.

Hmm, I am not sure now – the 5V50.i2d is for the V50 and the 5V52.i2d is for a V50L. So you have the correct firmware.

Whats strange is its working for the S90, can you try a different V50 and see if its just the terminal – I am at a bit of a loss on this one,

    Cheers,

    I’ll dig out a spare.

To be honest one of the reasons why I wanted to reimage this V50 was because I had trouble getting the wlx.ini to work when the gui booted.

    Thanks,

Zofty — I’ll let you know.
