    Hi!

I am not at all a newbie to computers, but I am so to Wyse Xpe. I recently bought a 9235LE at a low price with the idea to change it into a low power consumption backup machine. But for that to work I will have to add USB harddisks (mass storage devices) which are not recognized by the machine (no drivers present it seems).

Is there an easy way to change that?

    Thanks!

    Hi Ron,

what firmware is on the 9235? Latest is, depending on the flash size of your unit build 327 (192MB) or 329 (256MB).
I believe these version do support USB.

One more thing to be mentioned. 9235 is just using USB 1.1.

I’ll try to find out. Is there an easy way to upgrade the flash without having to install servers, etc.?

You will need Wyse Simple Image WSI to do that.

It is freeware. Go to the download section of the Wyse.com site and select any current XPe model like V90L. Scroll down and you will see WSI.
