    Hello
I am trying to determine the strongest encryption strength used for a an RDP connection to Terminal Farm. I know ICA has multiple level but I would like to make my TS HIGH strenght but want to make sure that Thin OS will support it.

    thx

    Hi,

The RDP client on WTOS will support 128bit RC4 encryption which is about the strongest on RDP 5x. You can force this setting from the Group Policy on the Terminals Server,

    TT,
Thanks for the reply so this would be totally server side and nothing configured in WTOS like the ica connection needs for encryption

    Hi,

When you set up the connection if you set it up on the server the client will have to use encryption. From memory the WTSO “should” negotiate the encryption without actually setting it on – but test.

If you only set it up client side the client requests it but it is not mandatory,

    Cheers,
