Every since upgrading from 4.4.1 to 4.5.1 on 2/9/07 my Rapport4 service has been restarting every 12 minutes (I have it set to auto-restart). Any ideas?

    Hi,

No idea, check the Microsoft DEP is not killing the service. You could also increase the log level to debug and see if any information is sohown in the logs as to why.

It would be normal if it was the HServerInit as this service is ment to stop shortly after starting…

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling WDM and IIS using the old database but the service continued to stop every 12 minutes (exactly). Pointed to a “fresh” database and the issue went away.

Also meant to include that DEP is (and always was) disabled. DEP was the first thing the Wyse tech checked also.

If it works when pointing to a fresh DB, you might check to make sure the service checked out of the old DB. You can only have one service “checked in” to the database, so if there is an old entry left behind, the Rapport4 service won’t be able to establish a connection.

Open the DB and navigate to the SERVER table
    Clear the contents and reboot…
IF the service starts working again, then that was the issue.

Thanks K. We tried clearing the Server table but got the same results. I’m really fine with the new database anyway. I had “inherited” the old one…
