Pushing images to V90L XPE terminals

    Hi there, I am new to this so please excuse me if I am a bit vague.

    We have a client that we have setup a number of V90L XPE terminals and we are managing them using Wyse Device Manager 4.7.2. I was wondering if someone could help me with best practices for saving and pushing images to these devices to make the save and push as effortless as possible.

    What we have done for the first image that we saved and pushed out was create the image we wanted on one terminal and pulled that image using WDM. We then pushed the image across to the V90Ls which all went OK except that they were trying to use the IP address of the device we created the image from. I then had to go to each terminal and disable the Write filter and renew the IP address and re-enable the Write filter again. I found that the devices would also want to install new hardware when turned on which kept coming back unless you disabled the Write filter as well.

    We currently have DHCP reservations for each of the terminals so I considered removing the reservation for the terminal that we are going to image and renew the IP address prior to creating the image. I was also going to disable the Write filter before creating the image so that it will allow the terminal to get it’s correct IP address following the push out but then I would need to re-enable the Write filter afterwards. Would this work as I would like or is there an easier way of achieving this result?

    Pretty sure messing around a bit with the prep4man and setup.bat will do the tricks you need.
