Trying to install a remote repository on a standalone XP desktop. Currently we’re using WDM 4.8 with an external SQL database. While attempting the install, we receive an error message showing “Unable to attach the WDM database”. Password et al is correct. Any ideas?
Also, is there any documentation outlining just the remote repository install alone, rather than wading into the full install manual?
Thanks!
No such doc available.
If you see that message it indicates that you are installing a new DB and that would be wrong in your case.
Have you entered an Enterprise key in the install?
Have you select “Custom” install and just the MMC?
In the custom install screen have you seen the DB already marked and greyed out?
Have you activated Named Pipes on the SQL server as well as Mixed Mode?
