We are new to wyse thin clients. We have initially tested them with our citrix xenapp 5 environment and everything seems to be fine. Our question is what are our options for deploying configurations? I am using a global config file now, and have another working by mac address. We want to be able to stage rollouts for our many departments to a new citrix farm. I tried creating a mac ini file thinking it would overwrite the connection in the global config but it didnt, it auto started both sessions. (we want these thin clients to auto start right to our published desktop) How could I accomplish this?

    Thanks
    Nick

ok, after doing a little more reading on this forum I have found that I can put the include mac setting before the ica session settings and then put an exit=all on my mac config and its working.

What are the options for user names? Does this tie into AD and then do single sign-on into our ica environment?

First requirement is that you need option “SignOn = 1 (or yes)” in your wnos.ini after that the Wyse device should be able to handle the username.ini files.

Please verify this and the rest is the same way you did with $mac.ini

And yes it will do a check with your domain controller after that you can pass the userid and password to your connection (use username=$UN and password=$PW for your connection parameter)

$UN = userid which has been entered by the user.
$PW = password which has been entered by the user.
