Hello! I’m wondering if someone can help me with the Citix ICA OnDesktop Setting?

I have a wnos.ini file that uses OnDesktop=no, and that pulls the settings from my XenApp application properties which is fine.

However, I have mac.ini files in use as well and I would like to control icons on a per device basis. I have tried the following combinations but none of them are working.

OnDesktop=’Staff Files, Firefox, Microsoft Word 2013′
OnDesktop=”Staff Files; Firefox; Microsoft Word 2013″

When I try putting this setting in my wnos.ini file just to see if it works there, then I get “No desktop or application available!” at the login prompt.

Does anyone know how I can make this work?
    Thanks
    Ryan

Without testing it myself, just a question upfront.
Why don’t you control all this through Citrix?

Citrix settings are very user centric where our environment is very device centric. So while I can use Citrix policies to control user groups who have access to applications, I can’t say that this Wyse device has access and this Wyse device doesn’t.

We are a K-12 school district, and I’m deploying T10 thin clients running WTOS into various classrooms, libraries, etc. The same student will have login rights to all the thin clients, however while he is in the library I want the online card catalog app shortcut to appear on the desktop, but if he is in the science lab I’ll want some other internet link shortcuts.

    Does this make sense?
