Hi
i bought 3125’s advertised as new from ebay.
i suspect they are new but already programmed for a company or such like.
I have three connected to network switch and a lap top i want to run them from.
I keep getting a net work set up screen when i start the wyse units and have tried asdding IP’s in sequence from the lap top server.
I have no idea about the rest of the informationm.
please help, i am desperate to have this network running for the weekend as they will be used as viewing stations as i am an events photohgrapher.
many thanks
AndyApril 13, 2010 at 7:51 pm #18140What do you want to achieve?
CG
April 13, 2010 at 7:53 pm #18141that the viewing station software running on server can be used on each of the terminals.
usually achieved with IP addresses and Browser on the wyseApril 14, 2010 at 7:49 am #18143And the SW is installed on the laptop?
Do you have Remote Connections (Terminal Services) enabled on the laptop?CG
April 14, 2010 at 9:57 am #18145hi yes the software is installed on lap top
i have enabled the lan on the lap top and checked IP address.
I’ve never used wyse units before so i am not sure what i should see when they boot up, all i get is a green screen with a connection manager box.
On the desktop menu , applications is greyed out so i cannot access anything.
I can only eneter info in to the network connection screen
thanks

April 15, 2010 at 9:11 pm #18154It is activated.
i can poing the lap top from the terminals, and i can ping the terminals from the lap top sop there is a network…
however
‘applications’ on the desk top menu on the wyse is greyed out, and i cannot run anything, this is my main issue, i need to be able to open a browser to let me run the event viewiing software.
do i need to reload these, wipe them or flash them or what do i do …or should i just sell them ?
thanksApril 16, 2010 at 11:14 am #18155Ping means nothing. Check under Computer Properties-Remote, if Remotedesktop is enabled.
If this is enabled, create a Terminal Server session (RDP) from the Wyse terminal to the IP of your server.CG
