    Hi All,

I have a strange issue reported from one of our on-site techs. He moved some Wyse terminals (C10LE) and since then, they bootup into the Network Setup window. He clicks Ok, and can sign into the unit (we use PNA). Then on reboot, it goes back into the Network Setup screen again.

So every time he has to click OK in the Network Setup screen, it works, reboots when he logs off (this is expected) then back to the Network Setup screen again.

We have not seen this happen before. I suspect it has little to nothing to do with the unit itself and maybe a sign of a network or DHCP problem.

what do you guys think? has anyone seen that before?

    Thank you,
    Bruce

Yea…we are experiencing the same thing where I work. Mostly V10L’s…will NOT boot…gets to step 15/16 trying to aquire an IP address and then hangs. Goes to Network Setup…the kicker is that I can assign a static IP to the device and VNC in. So connectivity is not the issue…and I don’t think it’s got anything to do with the terminal.

This has typically to do with a switch not opening the port fast enough and therefore the client is not able to pull a DHCP address.
Check your switch documentation on how to enable something like “Fastport”.
    This will fix your issue.
