    Hi folks,

I have the little white paper from WYSE about using HTTPS for contacting the file server and accessing the wnos.ini file, but it’s a little unclear (at least to me) where it needs to be the most clear. Specifically, the syntax of DHCP 161 and 162? (the other one). I had ftp working fine, but now that I’m trying to switch over to HTTPS, the thin clients can’t find the server correctly. Is it https://servername.blah.com for 161 and something else for 162? Or how should it look? Any help greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

is your https setup running if you enter https://servername.blah.com manually in the Fileserver field?

Option tag 161 is for the server IP or name whereas OT 162 is for the path. eg. Servername is https://servername.blah.com and path is wyse.
If you do not use OT 162 then WTOS unit will always add wysewnos as a path to the servername. So you folderstructure on your webserver should be httprootwysewnos

Check my First Step document on my website for more info on DHCP option tags.
