So my director purchased 55 more Xenith thin Clients (on top of the 25) and he bought and additional stuff and he got the CCM Server to manage them.
I was doing some testing and the dang thin client wont connect to the CCM when I change the policies. It will always hand on pending and then go to failed.
Been talking to dell for the past 2 weeks and they told me (also according to their documentation) that port 1883 outbound cannot be blocked. Already checked with networking and they tell me that the port is not blocked. When I do a telnet command to the ccm server URL it does connect, but when I ping directly from the thin client it gives me 3 different IPs’ and it wont connect.
Anybody know what could the issue be? The only way that I can make the thin client connect to the CCM server is to re-register our test client. I do not want to do that for all 80. Dell still insist that port 1883 from our side is blocked..
Issue fixed. Problem was with networking. Damn spanning tree and security on the ports..
