Citrix PS 3.0 w/ all hotfixes through R04
Windows Server 2003 (no Service Packs)

When I configure either a Wyse Winterm 1200LE or a Wyse Winterm S10 w/ more than one LPD printer, only the first one (LPD1) will map when I connect to a Citrix session. I have a policy enabled to ‘map all printers’ in a Citrix session. When I connect to a Citrix session from a fat client that has multiple printers, they all get mapped properly.

You can configure up to 4 LPD printers on the 1200LE and S10 Winterms. When I do this, all 4 printers will show up properly on the Winterms. Also, I can perform successful test prints from the Winterms themselves to the configured LPD printers.

I am stumped on this. I would like to avoid assigning printers to users from our MS print server.

Is there anyway to map multiple printers in Citrix that are configured on a Winterm (Blazer OS)?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I just tested my s10 with 2 LPD printers and they mapped up fine into the Citrix session. Make sure you tick the “enable printer” box for each of the 4 printers you create.

I was using firmware 5.0.051, not sure if this matters.

Also, have a look at the Citrix server event log to see if it gives a clue as to why it fails.

    Hope this helps,

    Regrads,
    Chris

Thanks for the reply, Chris. What is your Citirx enviornment (OS + service packs, Presentation Server version)? Also, I do have the “enable printer” box checked on all the printers setup on the winterm. However, I have firmware version 5.0.013f on my S10’s. That’s what they shipped with. I checked Wyse’s website and they show this firmware as the latest version. How did you get the 5.0.051 version? Would you be able to send that version to me?

Wyse tech support has been no help to me with this problem. I’m still trying to work with them as well.

I still having this problem. Does anyone know if I need to use the PNLite agent to get this working? (I’m going to test this)

    Hi HotDog,

Did you get newer firmware from Wyse? I notice Chris posted in this thread that he had it working on later firmware so maybe this is whats required. You can request this from Wyse support if you are in touch with them.

I have not tested this, if I get a chance I will post back. Also I dont have a PS3 setup any more so I will only be able to test on PS4. Can you also post your wnos.ini again? It will not make any difference if you are using PNagent or not for local printer set up,

    Cheers,
    -TT
