major issue with xenith 2

Looking for some help

I am going to simplify this a little bit, and preface with I dont think there is anything wrong with or config file, because when its pretty basic and when it works it works.

We tried to deploy 30 wyse xenith 2s. At a given users desk we could plug in one and it would get an IP, pull the config (we know because we could change the background) and then just freeze, at would never come up to the login box, couldn’t escape out, couldn’t go to admin mode.

If we removed the network cable and rebooted (hard power out, yanking the power cable) it still would lock up.

We would plug 3 more boxes in a that location and the 4th one would work.

We would take one of the ones that didnt work at that location and plug it in elsewhere and it would work.

For all of them sometimes they just wouldn’t work.

Had ten Wyse xenith Pros, they worked every time at every location.

Tried the 20, 21, and 26 firmware always had the same results with the wyse xenith 2

Anyone have any ideas, right now I don’t even know where to begin, its too random, if it was the config file (which we tried every variation of) then none would work. If it was simply hardware then the unit should fail everywhere, if it was network one unit shouldn’t work where another didn’t.
