    Hi all,

Just installed a local printer (HP Laserjet 1200) on a v90 via the add printer wizard. The printer is working fine, however, everytime i restart the v90 and login, I receive a prompt asking for files (dot4.sys) I can just cancel out of these prompts and the printer still works fine but is there any way to get rid of these messages?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Try locating the dot4.sys that it asks for and copy it to the C:windowssystem32drivers folder (with the write filter off). It sounds like the printer is plug and playing but the driver is not in the default windows driver store.

    Cheers,
    -TT

Those files were buried in some .cab files on my windows xp machine. Finally found them though and copied them over to the v90.

Seems like this only happens with local printers.

    Thanks TT!
