Hello,
Is it possible to enable kiosk mode for wyse 5070 win10 devices using WMS 3.1 without using WES?
I have a small number of thin clients (13 initially) that will each have a unique rdp connection to a back end vm. I would like to enable kiosk mode so all the users see when they logon is the rdp connection. I know i can do this with WES from within WMS but i think i would need 13 different groups with a different WES config in each? not ideal.
I dont think using a single group in WMS will work as the connection is different for each device. So i am thinking if i can have one group with all 13 devices in it, configure the kiosk settings and other settings in here but configure the rdp connection locally on each device. At least this way i am able to take advantage of the central management of WMS with minimal admin overhead only for the rdp connection.
If there is a better way of doing this feel free to let me know 🙂

This is not possible.
However, you could create your one group with all the common settings. After that, you can configure the RDP session in WMS – Devices tab. Click on the device and scroll down to see the configured settings. There you can add exceptions per device.

Is it possible to configure the easy setup kiosk mode with this method you mentioned. For example, single group with common setting and easy setup kiosk mode enabled. Then have per device exception for the rdp connection? Thus having every device in kiosk mode with independent rdp connection config.
