    Hi,

I have a TC (R50LE) and I would like to use a Java based application under Firefox (Oracle C3). I’m not really familiar with this device.

The error message is: “In order to access this application, you must install the J2SE Plugin version 1.4.2_04 on your client and NPX_PLUGIN_PATH environment variable is set before starting Netscape”

Can you tell me how can I check if the Java is installed or not?

How can I proceed to install the Java package?

I appreciate any kind of help!

    Thanks

Check in the Control Panel under Novell Add-In Manager if JAVA is listed there.
If not you can install it from the available downloads via FTP to your client.

I just updated the FW of the TC. Now it has 11.1.031, it contains pre-installed Java binaries (jre-1.6.0_24-01.01).

The Firefox can recognize the Java plugin as Java 1.6.0_24 (libnpjp2.so).
Unfortunately the mentioned Oracle C3 is still not working 👿

Maybe the J2RE and J2SE are not the same, Any other ideas ❓

    Thanks
