We have the Wyse C10LE’s connecting to a Citrix XenApp published desktop.
At our main office, the terminals use the DHCP options for the File Servers/Path and WDM servers settings. This works flawlessly.
At one of our parent company locations, we have a few C10LE’s for testing. Apparently they have some DHCP options as well and our test terminals File servers/Path and WDM Servers settings are getting changed. When this happens, it pulls in their wnos.ini. Is there anything i can put in the wnos.ini to keep those terminals from using the DHCP option tags? I know how to make the mac.ini and target just those 5 terminals.
You cannot disable the DHCP option tag usage but you can add
DHCPOptionsRemap=yes FileServer=999 RapportServer=998
to your wnos.ini and the clients will no longer check for option tag 161 for the fileserver but using option tag 999 instead or 998 instead of 186.CG
Thank you for the response. 999 and 998 wouldn’t work. I tried those manually and it stated that they had to be between 128 and 254.
I found that options 224-254 are for private use, so i put this in my MAC.ini. for those machines.
DHCPOptionsRemap=yes FileServer=254 RapportServer=253
