    Hey,
I was wondering where I should put a .desktop file wherein the only user able to use it is an administrator.

Or are there any other boxes i need to check off other than the location of the .desktop file.

I’ve tried following the example of the included xterm-lite program by putting it in /usr/share/applications but the icon doesn’t show up.

does it rely on the category I place the application in?

    Thanks

If you are talking about Linux v7 then I think it has to be in /etc/userlevel/home/Desktop.
But there is nice document here in the Product section which explains the creation of Linux packages.

I’m referring to SLETC 11. I don’t know if that’s the same as Linux v7, the distinction hasn’t been made to me.
