I noticed that on the V90L units there is an application which called the Dual Memory VGA app (something to this extent), and there you can set the memory to be 16/32/64 mb of ram. I would like to try to install it on the the plain V90. Since I was hoping I could increase the Ram size. Any ideas, anybody?

Actually I mispoke I checked the Wyse website and they do have the application required but unfortunately the links are not working :(. Anyone have any of these applications:

    V90L VGA DVVR_CPLDRV Add-on.zip
    V90L VGA 16 DVVR_Change_16.zip
    V90L VGA 32 DVVR_Change_32.zip
    V90L VGA 64 DVVR_Change_64.zip

I a hoping to be able to install this on the V90 client. Thank you.

    Hello Fidl4000,

the links on the wyse site are dead (page not found html page saved as zip file). Since the Wyse V90L has mainboard with via CN700 chipset look for the embedded drivers at VIA’s Arena website at http://www.viaarena.com or google for XPe and CN700.

    Hello Fidl4000,

the actual video drivers for Windows XP Embedded SP2 and the VIA CN700 UniChrome Pro integrated graphics (V90L) can be found here:
    http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=420&OSID=24&CatID=2500&SubCatID=158

These drivers are from March 2006.

Just as a remark, for the V90 (witch has PM880 chipset) newer video drivers exists:
The actual video drivers for Windows XP Embedded SP2 and the VIA PM880 UniChrome integrated graphics (V90) can be found here:
    http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=420&OSID=24&CatID=2500&SubCatID=110

These drivers are from April 2007.

I don’t know if the video driver for V90 will work on V90L terminals since PM880 is a older chipset. Normaly I would not advice to use a driver for a different Videochipset

    Hi Guys,

I emailed Wyse support and they have fixed the links to the packages you mentioned above. These packages run an exe called “DVVR_Change.exe” with a parm for the amount of system memory you want to use for video memory.

    DVVR_Change.exe 16

For example will use up 16MB of RAM for video memory.

Now as the OS can manipulate the BIOS this way is great but I have no idea if the BIOS in the V90 has been set up to accept this access. When you try it can you post back the results?

    Thanks,
    -TT
