    Hi,

I am able to push packages to local devices (V90), but not remote devices (V90). all of my remote devices says imageable = no and my local devices say yes.
When i reboot the devices remotely, imageable switches from no to yes, then back to no before i could push an image.
I have removed the device and recreated, but it doesnt show back up, even when i try to manually discover them.
does anybody know how to fix this? keep in mind that these are remote devices so i cant physically turn them off and reboot them.

    Thanks for your help

Until the units are not Imageable=yes you won’t be able to image them.
To achieve that in a remote location you have to add an IP helper to your routers.
There should already be an IP helper address configured for your DHCP server if you are using a central one. Just add a second helper address that points to the WDM server.
    This should help.

    ConfGen,

Thanks for your reply. It really helped making the devices imagable. My problem now is when i push images to remote terminals, it takes an extremely long time for the device to image. the last push took approx 19 hours to complete. Do you know how to speed this up short of installing a software repository in each of our remote locations?

    Wow, 19 hours. That’s a number.
What is your bandwidth in the locations?
An upgrade to WDM 4.7 could help as Wyse introduced a new imaging feature called Merlin. I was able to flash a unit (locally) in 2 minutes instead of appr 10 minutes with the old Wisard based imaging process.
But don’t expect wonders if you do not have the bandwidth needed to push the image file itself to the location.

We are allowing 300k for imaging between offices. but it never reaches 200k, actually sometimes it would be down to 50k.
I’d like to upgrade to 4.7 but i cant do a system change at the moment.
