    Did anyone test the HP LaserJet P1000 Series printer on S10/V10L device with Windows 2003 Terminal Server envoirnment.

    I have tested it on both the device S10 and V10L but printer is not working in Windows 2003 TS Session.

    When I print the job only Printer LED blinks 3 or 4 times and Session hangedup untill I restart the TC and reboot it again.

    Following was the Firmware version

    V10L : 6.2.0_08
    Pinter : HP LaserJet P1006
    Windows : Windows 2003 SP2 R2

    Hi,

    the 1006 is currently not working on WTOS. You would have to request this by Wyse.
    Only 1000, 1005, 1018 and 1020 are working.

    Use ConfGen-Printer tab and mark the checkbox for 1xxx series HP printers.

    if you check this box ConfGen will create an additional folder called “printer_fw” for you. In this folder you will find some HP firmware files that are needed by you printers. Just try it and check the bubblehelp inside ConfGen for this checkbox.

    HP 1xxx series printers are low cost, firmware-less printers that need to get the firmware from the host OS.

    Hi,

    Oh!!! Which we use for HP LaserJet 1020 Priner…???

    I remember we use sihp1020.dl file into printer_fw folder for HP 1020 printer.

    I have implemented suipport for 1000, 1005, 1018 and 1020 through the same checkbox.

    Hi,

    Yah, I have seen the sihp* files with the confgen tool. I will try to configure the printer tomorrow.

    Thanks for the advise.

    Hi CG,

    I have tried but printer in not working for me.
    Following was the step by step configuration to setup the HP LaserJet P1005 printer on S10 device.

    Make “wysewnosprinter_fw” Folder into ftproot directory.
    Make “wnos.ini” file into “wnos” directory.
    Copy “sihp1005.dl” file form “confgen” directory to “printer_fw” directory.

    WNOS.INI Parameters.

    AutoLoad=1
    SignOn=0
    FileServer=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    RootPath=/wyse
    Privilege=High
    PrinterMap=sihp1005.dl
    Printer=LPT1 Name=”hp1005″ PrinterID=”HP LaserJet P1005″ Enabled=yes EnableLPD=yes
    CONNECT=RDP Host=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Description=”Remote” AutoConnect=0 Colors=true Fullscreen=yes Domainname=NCOMPUTING

    Behavior is same like before, Printer LED only blinks and blinks but no printing.

    Enam

    Printermap parameter is obsolete.
    Can you check with a ork trace that the printer is really pulling the .dl file?
