does anyone know a trick to get these to print? I am in the middle of a POC and the biggiest issue I am having a hard time getting around is local USB printing. when I go to print a test page from the Thin OS I get an error “Printer not ok”
Typically you just attach the printer and can see most of the parameters directly in the local printer config.
Sometimes these are not correct and you have to adjust them. Especially the PrinterIdentification field is important. This has to reflect the exact printer driver name on the server site.
Are you using Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenDestop or RDP?? Generally I can get any USB printer I want to work on a ThinOS device as long as the drivers will install on the XenApp server and as long as the printer mapping is set up to where the autodetected device name in Wyse Thin OS is mapped to the driver name as it appears in the driver list on the Citrix server. Spaces, capitalization are critical here but if you do the mapping right it should work. That being said, there’s supposed to be a built-in Citrix Universal Print driver that auto maps to any driver that’s not specifically mapped but I’ve never been able to make that work.
