We have just over 50 various V90/R90/C90 wyse with XPe/WES with Write Filter on, Workgroup mode (no domain login) that I wish to push & remove desktop icons from a central location. Is there any way to do this with WDM?

We are changing an internal citrix web interface link and need to update all winterms.

Sure, that is exactly what WDM is designed for.
You can easly create your own script to just copy one file on the users desktop.
Take a look at the WDM online help to learn more about scripting or download some scripts from this website or Wyse.com to study the *.rsp files, which are the scripts.

OK – I have been testing this and cannot yet figure out how to insure write filter is enabled after a change. When I ran the script, it turned it off – but not back on (odd).

Also, I think this may be a security issue – but I ran the following:

    DF “C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersDesktop*”

But it did not remove they default shortcuts like RDP, span screen etc. Do I need to run this with “administrator” after?

    Can you post your script?
Typically WDM handles the WF itself. So you do not have to do anything. After the scripts finishes the WF should be in the same status as before running the script.
Add the “ND” command at the beginning of the script to prevent WDM from handling the WF completely. Shouldn’t be the default.
