    Talking about a V50:

I’ve tried to install the flash plugin for the Firefox Browser, but the installer site of Adobe says “Installation failed” and offers to install it manually (RPM,tar.gz,YUM).

What’s the right way to install the flash player?

    Hi,

With Wyse Linux you will need to package the Flash plug in the Wyse format, they will not install as a standard plugin.

You can download it here for the next week:

    http://www.freewysemonkeys.com/downloads/V6/FLASH-7.0.25-3.1.zip

Check out the Linux admin guide for instructions on how to install the addon,

    Cheers,

Thank you fast reply and the link, but I need at least version 8 of the player (current is 9)

    Any newer available?

Funny, but on the old 5150se I can install the Flash Player 9 from within the browser without any problem….

V50: looks like a little regress instead of progress 🙂

Really? Wow, the file locations are different to the FireFox defaults and this is why it fails. What firmware version is on the 5150? If you can get the same version maybe it will work on the V50?

    Version 6.2.0 Build 48 (Test)
    OS Version 2.6.8.1
    BIOS 1.10

uhh, sounds like I’d better not update the image?

So what’s the last version with the “old” Firefox default file location and where do I get it 🙂 ?
