For starters….please excuse my ignorance with this. I have inherited
this VDM / Wyse terminal setup and I am trying to learn how this stuff works.
We have Wyse V10L clients with FW 6.5.0.30
We are running VMWare View 4.0
We have several automated VM pools and several individual desktop VM’s running in our View 4.0 environment.
Our security guards use the individual desktop VM’s and I would like to be able to make their V10L clients go directly to their specific desktop VM’s. Currently they login and are able to see the other pools and clients that are available. I am affraid that they will monkey around with these other VM’s (some of these are common VM’s for our conference rooms). I would ideally like to be able to lock their V10L client to go directly to their specific desktop VM without them seeing any of the other VM’s. Is this possible?
I would suggest to use user specific .ini files {username}.ini you can find more details about it on the pdf document and you can always use the Configuration Generator for the settings.
What PDF document?
I found the Wyse ThinOS INI Files Reference Guide

Thanks for the tip.
