I recently purchased a batch of used s10s with version 6.5.0_46 on them. our image on the ftp server is RCA_wnos and RCA_boot version 7_1_207. as soon as i plugged the s10 in it started upgrading the firmware with the usual don’t turn off then flashed onto the screen a warning along the lines image failed, it then went onto the second stage of the loading the os from the server. it eventually went to a blank screen! the S10 will now not do anything (no light, no attempted boot) it just seems dead. foolishly I thought I had just had a rouge box I then tried a second one with the same results. I have now reverted my image on the ftp server to 7.1.122, but am very scared to risk loosing another one. I therefore have two questions
1: is there any way to repair the two dead s10’s
2: is there a known problem in going from 6.5.0-46 to 7.1.? (I think previous ones have gone to 7.0.133 first.)
I don’t think there is a way to repair the two dead ones.
Going to 7.0 first is a good idea 😉
