HDX Corrupted server data error on 5470 ThinOS 9.1 using Citrix 2012 package

    Greetings,

    We have been working to resolve the following error for our 5470 Wyse terminals that are using the latest ThinOS 9.1 firmware and Citrix 20.12.0.12.1 package. The updates were pushed using WMS Cloud. Our users are connecting to a shared Windows Server 2016 desktop VDI and some will receive this error on regular use:

    HDXCorruptedServerError

    Some will experience it multiple times a day and some once every few days. It’s totally random.

    Users who have not upgraded and are on ThinOS 9.0.4 and Citrix 2006 package are not experiencing this issue.

    We have a ticket open with Dell but they have not found a solution yet. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Does it also happen when using 9.1 along with 2006 CWA?

    2006 CWA fails to install on ThinOS 9.1. Can only install 2012 (20.12.0.12.1).

    Use a ThinOS 9.0 with CWA 2006 and just update ThinOS to 9.1.

    We also get this on our 5070’s, and I suspect this might also play a role on our 3010’s.

    I just tested on a 3010 with fw 8.6.206, and this will disconnect the session and it has to be signed out from Citrix Studio.

    After even more testing, this link also triggers a hang/disconnect if logging in to Citrix from a windows pc with Ctx Workspace App.

    I tried to disable “Enable HDX Multimedia Redirection” in the wms policies, and then I could follow the link without beeing disconnected.  Video is however horribly slow when doing this.

    We use VDA 2012.
