I am running 4.5.3 WDM. As for my TC’s I have over 1000 poorly managed devices of all different builds and hagent revisions. For WDM 4.5.3 how imperative is it that I update every terminal to agent 18.104.22.168? The reason that I ask is that I have updated about 150 CE devices so far and out of that about 10 would not take the update and would revert back to default. Since alot of our terminals are wireless this kicks them off the network. The ones hardwired I just set them back up again manually because our PXE system isn’t complete yet. I have yet to find what is in common about the 10 that this is happening too. We run S30’s 3125’s and 3150’s. I have to change our remote shadow password every 60 days but I cant even get the agents to roll out right without causing 5% failure. Failure isn’t good for me. Ideas???
what failure do you see?
Wyse has improved the HAgent a lot over the last years. So I would recommend to go through this and upgrade all units to the latest agent.
But maybe we can identify a weakness before and further decrease the failure rate.
The failure is that I see is the the agent upgrade starts but then hangs somewhere during the install. The termianl reboots itself but when it comes up it is like the flas reverted back to default OS. All of my static settings have been wiped. I can still get in through VNC on the hardwired devices but for the wireless ones I have to walk my users thorugh the wirless network setup before I can get in.
