Hi
We have a bunch of wyse 5010, 5060, 5070 and 3040 devices running ThinOS 8.6_511 and 8.6_606, that we manage through WMS. When they boot up there is a 30 second delay after the firmware check step. What can be causing this delay?
The log is often a bit irritating.
It is not waiting for 30sec at the firmware check. The firmware is already finished.
Have you made a network trace to verify what is happening between firmware check and time server sync? Maybe the time server is not reachable?

It turned out that the delay was caused by a certificate not being installed properly. I ended up creating a new collection and made sure only to include the necessary certificates and now the wyse devices boots up in a few seconds.
