    Hi all,

    Thanks for reading my post.

I have been trying to create a workable image (Wyse V90L) for our employees. One of the requirements is the possibility to view SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) files.

Because Firefox is a no-go I have been using IE6 (IE7 is also a no-go) plus the Adobe SVG plug-in. This plug-in works for SVG images embedded in HTML files, but when I click on an SVG file is explorer is takes a very long time to open and when opened it just show the file as an image and not an SVG file.

As a work around I have installed the Renisis player for the files not embedded in HTML. This is an stand alone SVG viewer. It can be found on: http://www.examotion.com/index.php?id=product_player_download

So far so good, but I have a problem with file associations. When I “tell” Windows to open SVG files with Renisis it works fine….until I reboot. The file association is restored to Adobe SVG plug-in.

The write filter is off so changes are stored on the system.

For your information: I have unlocked the “user” desktop using the following post: http://www.freewysemonkeys.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=118

    Any thoughts on my problem?

    Cheers,

    JayKay

Try experiencing with the netxclean.ini file under windowssystem32. This file is related to the ClientCleanup service which is cleaning out profiles and other things while shutting down or rebooting the unit.
Open it and eg disable the cleanup of profiles to test.
DO NOT DISABLE THE SERVICE ITSELF. It has some other important tasks to do.
