I’m migrating from 4.5.x to 4.8.
We use Wyse Linux and WTOS.
We also use about 10 different configs (wlx.ini/wnos.ini) and the devices are in various configuration groups pointing to the appropriate configs.
What I’d like to do is export/import my devices from my old server to my new server so I can get them in their appropriate DDC folders before cutting over option 186.
My theory being, if they’re already in the correct DDC, when I cutover option 186 they’ll check in with the new WDM and immediately get their new (correct) config without me having to do a bunch of shuffling around.
I tried doing a discover on the new system but that is coming up gonzo. Is there a table I can export on the old system into the new system that would include all devices? If so, would my plan even work?
The table in the DB is called Clients. You can extract the content and reformat it in the correct way to import them in WDM via Configuration Manager-Import
But you have to move them afterwards in the correct views manually.
