Hi, we are having a problem imaging and sending configs to our S30’s. This has worked in the past but has since stopped working.

When we try to image or send the config we get the error “Device Locked, send script to unlock device: Reason FTP Connect Error Cmd#:4 Cmd:4 …”
and the terminal displays the ‘reconfiguring’ page which does not change.

I have set the Rapport password to never expire but only after this problem occured and i have granted read / write access to the inetpub folder for both the users Rapport and INET_….

Not sure what has happened since it last worked but i assume windows update has had a part in it as i am now running SP1 (windows 2003 server).

I have also now installed the post SP1 hotfix supplied by Wyse.

    Many Thanks for your help.

To test if it is an error with the rapport server FTP check the following:

    – Under configuration Manager – Software Repository make sure the IP address for the Master Repository is correct.

    – Set a password for the local Rapport user account on the server (do this from users and computers mmc) and make sure it is the same as the password set on the master repository.

Once you have done this manually ftp into the Rapport server as the user rapport with your new password and test if you can login. Download some CE firmware from the Wyse site and use the Rapport script to import it into Rapport. If this now works looking good. Finally try and pull/push a config to a device.

    Cheers!

All Fixed – It was the S/W repository ip address which was wrong. I have now changed it to the DNS address of the server it is installed on.

    Many thanks for your help.
