We are working on a upgrade of our Citrix XenApp envioment from version 5 to 6.5, and now we got a strange problem on our WYSE T10 (Image 7.1_207) terminals
It works fine, when it connects to the Citrix XenApp farm version 5, and the user section of the wnos is here.privilege=1
resolution=DDC
inactive=150
Locale=English Load=Yes LocaleList=German, English, Dutch
Language=Dk Charset=ISO-8859-1
PnliteServer=http://xaweb.FQDN/Citrix/PNAgentpc/config.xml
DomainList=”domain-name”
SessionConfig=ICA
CONNECT=ICA
BrowserIP=xadcs01
Application=”FULL DESKTOP H”
Description=”User Desktop”
Icon=default
Username=$UN
Password=$PW
domainname=$DN
AutoConnect=1Exit=all
When we change the user setting to connect to the new Citrix XenApp 6.5 farm we got error, the user section of the wnos.ini file is change to this.
privilege=1
resolution=DDC
inactive=150
Locale=English Load=Yes LocaleList=German, English, Dutch
Language=Dk Charset=ISO-8859-1
PnliteServer=http://xa65web.FQDN/Citrix/PNAgentqapc/config.xml

SessionConfig=ICA
CONNECT=ICA
BrowserIP=xa65dcqas01.FQDN
Application=”Full Desktop H”
Description=”User Desktop”
Icon=default
Username=$UN
Password=$PW
domainname=$DN
AutoConnect=1Exit=all
When we start the terminal we got a connection timeout and in the event log we got this
Citrix sign-on to http://xa65web.FQDN/Citrix/PNAgentqapc/config.xml
ICA: pnhost = “xa65web.FQDN”
ICA: Connectine to „User Desktop” …
DNS/WINS can’t resolve [Full Desktop H]
Socket connect: Connection timed out
ICA[Full Desktop H]: Connection timed outThe farm is working and it is possible to start the Full Desktop H manually.
I have also tried to use the application name, but it’s the same.
Application name = FullDesktopH
Display name = Full Desktop HOn a computer it is working correctly.
Could somebody see whats wrong with the solution?
June 17, 2013 at 12:03 pm #23963I do not understand why you are logging in to your XA server and then define an ICA session separately.
Why not autostart the session from the list of published apps you get back after signing in?
Try
Pnliteserver=http://xa65web.FQDN/Citrix/PNAgentqapc/config.xml AutoConnectList=”your_farmname:Full Desktop H”CG
June 17, 2013 at 12:23 pm #23971Hi
The reason why we do it this way, is that we have more environment in the same farm, We call it Silos.
Silo A = Full Desktop = Desktop with Office 2010
Silo D = Full Desktop D = Desktop with out Office
Silo H = Full Desktop H = Desktop with Polish regional setting and keyboards
etc.But I am not an expert, and the environment was implemented by a consultant, so if it works with an other solution, fine with me.
About you suggestion, I have try it, ( also before )
now the log shows.Invalid statement: AutoConnectList

June 17, 2013 at 3:14 pm #23979Hi again
Now I got it to work.
I have to type the AutoConnectList on the same line as the PNLiteserver
PnliteServer=http://xa65web.FQDN/Citrix/PNAgentqapc/config.xml AutoConnectList=”65QAFarm:Full Desktop”
