Can you tell me why we have all our icons showing up twice? This is the wnos.ini file we use (with changes to license keys and host names):

LocalCopy=no25. March 2008 at 21:55 #12320Hi,
Have you ever used localcopy=yes? If you did these icons are saved on the device. Try resetting the device to factory defaults, did this get rid of the double icons? If it did there is a reset command you can put in the wnos.ini to remotely re-set all the terminals on next boot,
Cheers,
-TT26. March 2008 at 11:51 #12326Resetting to factory defaults does not help. I still have 2 copies of each icon.
On my V10L my ThinOS version is 6.1.0_8.
30. March 2008 at 12:11 #12367Hi Kent,
I have tried your wnos.ini with my V10L and it worked without any issues.
I would highly recommend to use my ConfGen tool to generate your wnos.ini file to prevent mistyping and long parameter searches.
As your wnos.ini works with me it could only be a a reset to factory default issue or it is reading a second ini file. Do you have any other ini files in the wnos directory?CG

I tried ConfGen and it worked great! Not sure why I was having issues, but am having none now.
A side question. Is there a way to do an alphabetical auto-arrange of the icons on the desktop? I have an include for a few people go get an extra program/icon. That icon shows first, and out of alignment with the other icons.
31. March 2008 at 6:27 #12377Unfortunately there is no way to sort the icons. I think the only order is the one you used in the wnos.ini but I am not sure about that.

Icon=desktop ?
You can either use Icon=default which displays a default ICA icon or you can use Icon=myicon.bmp which will show the file myicon.bmp from wnosbitmap folder.Change this and try again.

23. May 2008 at 6:59 #13038Hi,
So on the destop you have two of the same icon? Even after a factory re-set?
Cheers,
-TT23. May 2008 at 13:42 #13053I changed Icon=desktop to Icon=default. I also re-set the device to factory default using the G key reset and by just clicking reset the system to factory default from the shutdown menu.
Thank you,-AW
23. May 2008 at 13:43 #13054And you still have the problem?
23. May 2008 at 13:50 #13056Oh sorry about that. Yes I’m still having the issue.
Thanks,
-AW24. May 2008 at 17:09 #13063What happens if you start the unit offline without network connection or with connection but no FTP server available? Do you still see icons on the desktop?
CG
27. May 2008 at 16:24 #13080No I don’t see any icons. The only thing that comes up is the system information saying looking for IP address from dhcp.
Thank you,
-AW
28. May 2008 at 6:36 #13083Stop the FTP server once and reboot. This way the unit should start normally getting an IP address but no system profile (wnos.ini).
Still no icons on the desktop?CG
