I am having issues with double logins on our S10 terminals.
I have narrowed it down to a problem with the session broker.
If i disable the broker i can log in no problems.
However when it is enabled the user logs on and immediately after, is presented with another logon screen.
If they then log on for the second time all the colours on the display are messed up.
I have upgraded to the latest firmware 6.3.0_17
Any ideas?27. March 2009 at 13:46 #15527
So you are “only” using the W2k8 session broker, correct?
6.3.017 is not an official release so I would test with 6.3.012 instead.

The setup we have is:
2 terminal servers (2008) in a TS farm. and a session broker (2008) on another server for load balancing.
6.3.017 was sent to me by Wyse support directly. I have also tried 6.1.0_07, 6.1.5_03 and 6.2.0_08.
When using firmware 6.1.0_07, it didn’t even let me get to the second login screen it would just switch the terminal off after the first attempt.27. March 2009 at 14:45 #15529
6.1 wasn’t working with W2k8 server at all.
6.3.017 was showing these color missmatches in my lab also. That’s why I use 6.3.012. Ask the support to send you that one and try again.
Or ask for even a newer one. Latest I know of is currently 6.3.022.

Thanks for that.
They should be sending it soon.
Can i just confirm that you have a similar setup to me (i.e session broker and NLB) and that you now have it working correctly.
Do you get double logins at all with that version of firmware?28. March 2009 at 17:42 #15535
No, I do not have a similar setup and can not confirm that it is running.

Hi there jc_gmk
Sorry to trouble you, but I’m having the exact same issue as you with the s10 and 2008 session broker. I’ve spoken to Wyse and the best that they could come up with is that session broker isn’t on their list of supported brokers.
My symptoms are the same. We can’t do double logons without the connection dropping out to the logon screen again.
Have you got any further on the issue? I’ve been trawling the forums and have found others with the same issue, but no one seems to be able to to offer a resolution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Similarly, if you still have the issue and I make any progress, I’ll let you know 😀
Thanks and good luck
