Has anyone seen this sort of issue in regards to pictures?
I have a v30, 3150, and a 3125 that are all giving horrible image quality.
I am trying to view Digital x-rays that are 8-bit gray scale and they displaying harsh gradients and also little lines of flickering color pixels between certain gradients. Wyse says that they support 32bit color, but 32 bit looks horrible when compared to 16bit. We have tested this on V90s and no issues. Pictures look beautiful.

    Desktop at 1280×1024 @32bit color.

Global ICA client settings – color = Millions

ICA connection – windows color= Millions

    Build 563.5
    ICA 9.22(build 57)

The ICA “application” setup on our server is also set for 32 bit as well.

    Hi,

Not really sure about this one – I can say the Windows CE has never had the fastest video performance. For Digital X-Ray I would recommend WTOS or XPe as these have the best quality of image.

yeah, works perfect for the XPE clients…
We just have about 500 CE clients in the field, and that is just gonna be a
big project trying to convert them. Not to mention cost. Well, if anyone finds a way to solve this, please let me know. Thanks.

I understand, you could try and talk to a Wyse system engineer but it is a long shot. (It may be “the way it is”)

It is possiable to remotly convert your 3125 and 3150 to WTOS and the cost is not that great. The V30’s will be an issue as there is no WTOS conversion. You could put more flash and RAM in them and convert to XPe but the cost on that is going to add up.

Maybe call Wyse and log a call on CE plus see if they can convert one 3125 to a 1125 for testing and see if this will produce the result you want. At the end of that at least you can make a desision having explored all the options.

I have converted sites of over a 1000 devices from CE to WTOS with good results.

    Good Luck!
