I have created two device configurations. V30 and V30L the two Wyse Terminals types we have.

The issue is I deploy the Configuration out to a device, it sends it and the terminal goes into its “I’m being configured” screen, reboots and nothing has changed. When I was testing the image I would just deploy it back to the terminal I created the image from, and change a few settings to make sure all was okay.

We are using WDM 4.7 Workgroup License.

To create the image I right click the terminal in WDM and select Get Configuration. Which of course creates a .reg file.

When you have pulled the config, did you left all checkboxes unchecked and selected “Replace” in the wizard dialog?

Yes I did, except Teminal Information. And yes I told it to overwrite.

Open the settings.reg and post the
    “; Filtered = “
    line.

Retry it and do not filter anything. Leave each checkbox UNCHECKED!

That appears to have worked. Other terminals now accept the configuration, well at least one other does, that’s all I am testing with now.

One further question, will the same configuration work on a V30 and V30L?

No, you have to create one config for each hardware AND each firmware level.
