Hi,
I am having a small issue with configuring the V10L’s in Rapport.
At the moment we have got 1125’s, S10’s and newly bought V10’s.
In the DDC i have got 16MB media size. We have got 10 different subnets (different locations) and have wnos.ini configured fo reach location.
In the beginning 1125 was working all good. Then when we bought S10’s i just added the line “S10WDMFlash=16MB” so that all my S10’s can use existing config and can point to the correct subnet.
Now i have got V10’s which i guess is using 128MB media size. I created new DDC 128MB and created new directory V10 and created wnos.ini.
When i boot up V10 it does not pickup the config file. It gives me error message “cannot access system profile”. Can someone pls help on how to setup V10 config in Rapport?
Also, since the media size of V10L is different than the 1125 and S10’s do i need to create a separate directory again for each location and create a wnos.ini again?
Is there something like what i did for S10’s “S10WDMFlash=16MB” can be done for V10L’s?
Thanks.
November 17, 2008 at 9:33 am #14451Check WDM Device Manager and look what your V10Ls report as media size. This value should be used inside DDC.
Otherwise look in the V10L network config to find the used FTP server and path. This way we can find if it is using DDC at all.
Last but not least you can take a look at the FTP logfile on your FTP server to see which path the V10L is looking for.CG
November 17, 2008 at 9:42 pm #14454Thanks CG. I looked at WDM and V10L is reporting as 128MB media size.
I then created 128MB media size in DDC but for some reason the device is not reading the config from WDM DDC.
Below is the script i see in WDM for V10L’s –
[Version]
Number=V10L
Description=V10L
OS=BL
Category=Images
USE_PXE=NO
command=%imagewrite%
BootFloppy=Rapportitf
USE_REMOTE=YES
ImageSize=128Any ideas?
November 17, 2008 at 11:13 pm #14456Hi CG,
Further – i checked the FTP path and it is pointing to the correct WDM and FTP path V10L but in the end throws me an error message – “Cannot access system profile” – not sure what does this mean.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
November 18, 2008 at 6:30 pm #14462“Cannot access system profile” simply means that the unit is not able to read the wnos.ini.
Please tell us the path shown locally on the unit and the path where the wnos.ini files is stored.CG
November 18, 2008 at 11:13 pm #14472Fixed it – the path was correct on the WDM and on the Wyse but was still throwing the same error.
I had to then manually put in the entries of the Citrix servers on the V10L unit and then restarted the unit and it is now picking up the correct path ini file.
Thanks again.
