    Hi,

    I am really new to Wyse and need some advise here.

    I need to configure near 300 units of 1125SE (firmware 5.1,010.03) to access Citrix Published Applications via the Citrix Secure Gateway. The certificate on the Citrix Secure Gateway (CSG) is privately signed. I have a few questions below, hoping that someone can help clarify and answer.

    1) I read that the 1125SE already comes with PNLite and capable of connecting via CSG. Is this true for the firmware version stated above?

    2) Since all the 300+ devices are currently distributed across multiple sites, and our company does not wish to leverage on using a FTP+WNOS.ini file in managing them, what is the most efficient way of having the root certificate uploaded onto these devices? How can I efficiently configure the settings on these devices to connect to the CSG?

    3) On Citrix farm, do I have to create a PNAgent site on Web Interface for PNLite to connect via CSG?

    Many many thanks in advance… I will try to Google more and read more for now…

    HZ.

    Hi,

    you are right. WTOS devices are capable of connecting to a CSG. Your firmware version is fine for that.
    The easiest wasy is using a FTP server. If there is really no way to convice your company to use one, you have to import the certificates manually. This can be either done via the network tab “authentication” or if you do not have this tab due to your firmware level, you have to do it once via FTP.
    After you have imported the certificate you do not neeed the FTP server anymore as the cert is stored locally on the device.
    A PNAgent site is needed.

    Many thanks. I have successfully configured my environment to access via CSG. However, I discover that some of the 1125SE with firmware 5.0.0.42 reported the error: “Trap:Protection Fault, EIP=0x0” upon connecting to the application. It was able to enumerate the application and I can see the application listed in the PNlite icon at the bottom right corner of screen. But just the error.

    Can anyone please comment if I need to upgrade the firmware to a specific version?

    Thanks again…

    You should bring all your units to the same level of firmware. This will not only fix your Trap issue but also makes the administration easier.
    But be aware that upgrading is not for free. You have to buy the licenses otherwise you are violating the license agreement.

    Wow, some history…

    I had that exact issue with PNaget on that exact firmware version, it was fixed with 5.0.52 about 3 years ago 🙂

    I would look at getting the latest version of code from Wyse (5.2.06x) as this was the last release for the 1125. There is a cost to this but it has many fixes, enhancements including support for USB keys in the session,

    Give Wyse support a call, explain the issue and see what code the send!

    Cheers,

    I actually did and received a 5.2.0_60 firmware from Wyse. However, upon updating, i cannot seem to use PNAgent anymore – the PNAgent field has been greyed out under the Network|Server menu.

    Refering to the event log, the boot up is showing “No operating system, “Network Setup” invoked as the last line. I am also seeing a “MiniRom tattooed on the top right hand corner of my screen.

    I called up Wyse again and they provided another firmware, but i can’t seem to be able to load this firmware. My wnos.ini file already has the following set:

    autoload=2
    signon=0

    Can someone please enlight and provide some suggestion on what i can do next?

    Thanks again…

    Problem solved. It was a corrupted image.

    Got it working now. Thanks to all.
