At some point (possibly as of WTOS 8), the behaviour of RD Gateway in WTOS changed. RD Gateway used to be configured globally, but the current behaviour of WTOS is that the settings are per-session.
In other words:
Old configuration:
; RD Gateway settings are global
TSGWEnable=yes
TSGWServer=foo
Connect=RDP
Host=bar
New configuration:
; RD Gateway settings live inside Connect=RDP
Connect=RDP
Host=bar
TSGWEnable=yes
TSGWServer=foo
Wyse support have confirmed that the behaviour have changed (but did not investigate when this change occurred, or why), and the documentation will be corrected at some indeterminate point in the future. I have personally confirmed the new behaviour in 8.0_037 upwards, which is the oldest firmware that we’ve used (the behaviour is the same in 8.0_210 and 8.0_214).
ConfGen itself needs to be updated to match the actual behaviour of WTOS. Global RD Gateway settings, as generated by ConfGen, are ignored completely.
(Maybe at some stage the docs will also be updated to match the fact that it isn’t called “Terminal Services” any more.)

June 4, 2014 at 10:49 am #24776If I go to Help → Check for updates, I am told “Please update. Latest version is 7.1.011”
The version on the website is 7.1.01. The version that I get when downloading the software, is 7.1.01. (“Disable autoupdate function” is unticked, but I’m not sure what that does — I’ve never been notified of the 7.1.011 update.)
Incidentally, what tipped you off to the change in RD Gateway configuration?
June 4, 2014 at 11:12 am #24777the latest version is 7.1.01. I had to fool around with the version number to make the update check work.
Hopefully finally fixed the next release.CG
June 4, 2014 at 11:19 am #247787.1.01 certainly doesn’t have per-session TS Gateway settings — that is the version that I was already using. (Admittedly, I should have given the version in my OP!)
June 5, 2014 at 2:32 pm #24781I will check. Sorry for the confusion.
