I am new to the Wyse CE platform and am able to get a Wyse S30 to do a FTP upgrade from CE5 to CE6 but would like to have a few things changed in the default load including:

    1. Remove all desktop icons (don’t want any at all)
    2. Change colors to max (because of using PACS)
    2. Add a password to get to the Control Panel
    3. Remove misc programs from Start Menu (IE, Media Player, etc.).

Can someone please tell me what I need to do so that when I push the new ftp image these will be fixed.

This is possible but needs a few steps.
Check here for the “DHCP Automatic Firmware Upgrade” document.

After doing this you can configure one client the way you want it. Use Wyse Device Manager to pull the CE config.
Convert this pulled config file (settings.reg) with my ConfGen tool into a CE package and add it to the automatic upgrade process.

Now new client will autoupdate the firmware and add the config package on top.
