When i want to delete a package, i get the following error: “unable to delete package(s) due to pending updates”.
I do not have pending updates for this package, but it still gives the error when i am trying to delete the package.
What can i do to correct this problem (i already restarted the services)?
Hi,
Do a “iisreset” from the command prompt and this should clear the job. If you have WDM 4.5.1 you can right click on the scheduled job and move ti to an error state. Once the job shows up as “error” with a red icon it can be deleted.
If you have the issue where there is no scheduled job but you can not push a package out to a device as WDM still thinks there is a scheduled job for the device you will have to edit the SQL table. This is unusual for this to happen but I have had to install SQL Enterprise Client Tools so I could edit a table to do this – I can’t recall the specific table but can check it out if you need to,
Cheers,
-TT
Thinkthin, Thanks
The iisreset did not work (i already restarted the services). But when i installed the SQL Server Enterprise Manager (SQL 2000 Standard Edition client tools), I could edit the database.
I went to the table “Command”, and saw 5 entry’s. Deleting them one by one, i finally had the wright entry. After deleting that entry, i also could delete the package.
Aww, nice – the “Command” table, I will remember that table from now on. We needed Karazal to answer that one as he is the WDM Guru.
Glad you got it going!
😀
MMMMMMMMMM….. SQL Server Enterprise Manager has saved me a ton of times with rapport. Yeah, sometimes images will get themselves stuck in those dang tables! Good find and post!
