C10LE WTOS terminal name ping reply.

    HI,

    I have an observation related to C10LE WTOS that When I ping the IP of C10LE ThinClient from different machine I get the ping reply, but when I Ping the same C10LE thinClient with its Terminal name I dont get the reply. Please let me know the possibility of pinging the ThinClient with its Terminal Name.

    Do you have a WINS server running? Then use RegisterWINS=yes in your wnos.ini and everything should work.

    Well I dont have WINS server running, Does it requires WINS server to get the reply by Terminal Name.?

    At least it requires a name server which knows the client. As WTOS is not self registering to a DNS server, you would have to create the entry manually and then it will work.
