C10le is not allowing users to pickup active or disconnected Xenapp sessions when moving on to another C10le. Citrix support tested this setup and stated that it is a problem with our C10le thin clients. We are using the xml broker setup instead of pnagent lite connecting to our WIs. This worked fine on one test server, but when load managed across mulitple Xenapp servers serving up the same app it is broken. WYSE support is also stumped on this one.

Has anyone else out there experienced this and found a solution?

    Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried this with PNAgent site instead?

We originally tried the PNAgent Lite but had too many issues in our environment. We tested with the xml broker setup using the ica client and got great results initially until we spread the implementation across 4 Xenapp terminal servers. This is when the smooth roaming stopped functioning unless Xenapp Load Management pointed the user to a server with a session already present.

Can you try to connect to PNLiteServer=IPAddress:XMLPort instead of justth IP?

Works fine in a Win32 environment. We are not using PNAgent lite on the Thin Client…just ICA client.

So you have manually created a ICA session within the Connection Manager?
Try my above suggestion the for the browser server.

Yes, we are manually creating an ICA session. Tried your suggestion with the IP:Port and still no smooth roaming. Thanks for your help anyway!

Are you using SignOn=0 or 1 in your wnos.ini ?

We got a similar problem if we use SignOn=0 as the user provides the needed info (userid+password) after the session has been made.
If you use SignOn=1 the user will have to provide the needed info (userid+password) before the session and any disconnected/active session will be “restored/reconnected”.

Thanks for your help aLiE. Unfortunately, your suggestion did not make a difference. We are authenticating to the domain as the session is launched instead of having the device authenticate. We use an icon that is published to a generic This OS desktop with each Icon using it’s own settings to launch and ICA session. Users were picking up their active or disconnected sessions fine from one Citrix aplication server. When we load managed across 4 servers is when we started encountering the problem.

Could you post your wnos.ini ?

We currently have the same issue here, the solution (enter userid+password before the session) has not been accepted by our managers (i do understand why) but i’m sure we can find a solution for this.
