    Hi,
    It’s my first post here. I am new with wyse thin clients. My company decided to replace PC with wyse clients.

    After the whole day of searching information and reading manuals I was able to configure first wyse C10LE to work. I set up ftp server with wnos.ini file. Wyse connects with my XenApp 6.5 server. Yupii 😀

    I was able to make wnos.ini which automatially starts published desktop. I used DHCP options to configure it. Everything is ok except resolution for this published desktop. Resolution for wyse terminal is set up on 1920×1200.
    Unfortunatelly, the session to desktop starts with default parameters 1024×768. I can change a resolution in connection manager and when I can start session with res. 1920×1200 but this annoying. Users will be complaing if they had to change it every time they start a system.

    I would be grateful for a little help how to set up a thin client to start session to published desktop with a specific resolution – for example 1920×1200.

    There will be 3 types of monitors in my project with different resolutions. I have an idea how to do it with mac.ini where I can define which terminal should start session with which resolution but first I have to find a solution how to start this sesion with required resolution.

    I tried to add:
    Resolution 1920×1200

    in my wnos.ini in section

    ;*************************************************************
    ;* ICA *
    ;*************************************************************
    PnliteServer=http://10.255.255.1/Citrix/PNAgent/config.xml ReconnectAtLogon=2 ReconnectFromButton=2 AutoConnectList=”XenApp65:Desktop”
    Resolution=1920×1200
    SessionConfig=ICA OnDesktop=desktops

    but it doesn’t work.

    Thanks,

    Can you check how the desktop is published in Citrix? Maybe someone published it fixed a fixed resolution of 1024*768.

    YES ! The Citrix environment was configured by my collegues not by me. There was fixed resolution 1024×768. I changed option on full screen and now it works.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
    Unfortunatelly, there is one more problem. This solution with full screen helped me only for wyse clients.

    Besides wyse clients some users will use PC and Citrix software to connect to Citrix environment.

    I changed the option for published desktop from 1024×768 to Full Screen yesterday.
    This setting is valid for all sessions. Users who use PC to connect to Citrix automatically get session on full screen as well which is guite inconvenient.

    Is it possible to have a situation when PC session starts with resolution fixed in published desktop and wyse terminals use their native resolution defined for a thin client?

    Citrix environment and wyse thin clients are quite new for me. I would be gratefull for a little help. I have been searching the internet for a solution a few hours yesterday but I couldn’t find a solution.

    Regards,

    You can try
    SessionConfig=ALL Fullscreen=yes
    to force all sessions to be fullscreen regardless of the resolution of the published app.

    Unfortunatelly it didn’t help :(.

    Session starts full screen on wyse but with resolution 1024×768 published with desktop.

    It’s so annoying.

    Have you thought about published the desktop a second time? One for PC and one for TC.

    Hi, I just want to share with the solution which I found. Maybe someone will have the same problem.

    Publishing the second desktop also works.
    However, I found a better solution 🙂

    It was my first contact with wyse client and I tested C10LE unit with basic options set up.
    It was complety by accident when I was testing other options and I changed toolbar mode from Classic to VDI.
    In VDI mode everything works ! Default session connects with correct resulution (DDS).

    It seems that there is a bug in the firmware.
