    Hi,

I need to create some kind of package or something to set up our S30’s in the following way.

    – Install firmware 581
    – Remove the IE addon
    – Install Citrix 98.1 addon
    – Send down a config

I need to remove IE as 90% of our S30’s only have 32Mb of storage.

What is the best way to do this?

We are running WDM 4.7 soon to be 4.7.1 and our S30’s currently have a variety of different firmware and addon version levels.

    Thanks
    Phil

Check out my “Creating a CE image and WDM DDC” doc on my website.
    This should explain all details.

Thanks for the reply the document has cleared up a few things but I still have one question.

When I am creating my “CE bundled image” how can I remove the IE addon?

As explained in my doc you are not working with a full CE image but with a so called Primer. A Primer is a CE imag without any addons.
That’s why you have to add all addons you want to use instead of removing some (which is not possible in an image creation process).
The primer is freely available via Wyse Support.
