I’ve got a WY 1125SE unit that seems to be somewhat bricked. The unit is no longer taking an IP address from the DHCP. All other terminals are working OK. Currently IP address, FTP, and configuration file location server info is passed through the DHCP via a reservation by MAC address. When the unit boots, it boots into a lock down mode, so we cannot change any settings manually. G-Key rest wasn’t setup piror to the issue, so we are unable to pass that option through.
Is there any other way to flash the ROM back to defaults? Can thsi be done via serial cable?
Thanks
JJ
The only way for you would be to find out the Fileserver the 1125 tries to contact. If you know the IP great, if not use a Network Sniffer like MS Netmon.
Now rebuild a FTP with that IP and create a wnos.ini with Privilege=none on that server.
