    Hello everyone
I’ll start off by saying that i’m new to the thin client scene but have many years experience working with PC’s and Macs.

I’ve been tasked to create an auto configuration setup for our Wyse thin clients running SUSE. From what I’ve read so far, it shouldn’t be too complicated i hope. It looks like I’ll need a DHCP server token which points to an FTP server where the config file is located?

Here’s my questions if somebody could please assist me with them. Does the config file need to reside on an FTP server or can it be on a file share?
I’m also looking for some examples of config files or more exacting help with creating them.

If there’s any articles, FAQ’s or whatever that you found helpful in setting this up please share as well.

    thanks much for your time
    Brad

The file is called wlx.ini and has to be placed on webserver. This could be ftp, http or https.
The folder structure should look like this
    ftprootwysewlxwlx.ini

Check out my ConfGen tool for easily creating the ini files.
