    Hey Guys,

I am just looking into ways to have every device be authenciated on my network before being allowed access to an IP address or resources on my network. I am in an envoriment where I am worried about rogue devices being plugged into my network without consent, ie Vendors and 3rd party resources (Board Rooms and such)…

Since I am in a mixed Windows/Wyse Thin OS OS’s I was thinking about testing “IEEE 802.1X for Wired Networks Using Microsoft Windows” with documentation which can be found here..

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=05951071-6b20-4cef-9939-47c397ffd3dd&displaylang=en

Is it possible to install these Certificates onto the Thin Client and have them authenciate with a IAS/RADIUS Server?

    Thanks
    Jeff

Yes you can install certs on WTOS.
Put the cert in a folder called “cacerts” under “ftproot/wnos”. Add this line to your wnos.ini “AddCertificate=name_of_yourcert.crt”.
You can also add them via USB or FTP from the 802.1 dialog.
